Chitenge Bags

The sale of each Chitenge Bag provides access to safe, clean water for one person... for LIFE!

Made from scraps of authentic African wax fabric, every Chitenge Bag is a unique combination of many vibrant patterns. Sawyer designs and sews every bag by hand. Each bag has a story and no two bags are the same!

Please note that all bags are preorder, which means that they are assembled after an order is placed. Bags will be made according to design selection, but no two bags are made exactly the same. The colors and theme will be similar to bag selected, but some patterns and placements may be different. Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

Sawyer Anderson is a 15-year-old girl from West Fargo, ND who has written and illustrated the book, Water Works. Sawyer is the youngest person, and only author, to partner with Wellspring for the World and World Vision in a ‘co-venture cause agreement’ to bring safe, clean water to people in Africa, including some of the most water-impoverished countries in the world. Sawyer has been featured on numerous news broadcasts, studio and podcast interviews, and has her own YouTube page.
